• This is a skill-oriented course in the study of solar photovoltaic (PV) cells, modules, and system components; electrical circuits; PV system design and sizing for use on homes, understanding energy conversion from sunlight to electricity, and working with solar conversion equipment.

• Learn how to demonstrate knowledge of and apply key solar electric system terms and concepts.
• Participants will learn different types of solar PV module and batteries used in solar home systems.
• Learn how to carry out measurements, test voltages and currents generated by photovoltaic system.
• Learn how to size and design a photovoltaic system based on the estimated loads.
• Learn how to mount, ground, position, install, wire and connect a solar PV system.
• Learn how to operate & maintain a Solar home system while observing safety.
